File a Petition for Review
Substantiated abusers, or their legal representatives, have the right to request a review of the findings and conclusions contained in an investigation report, typically referred to as a 19C investigation report. DPPC is required by law to provide the findings to substantiated abusers. Please see the Rights of the Accused page for further information about your rights.
Petitions for review must be filed in writing with DPPC within ten (10) business days of the petitioner’s receipt of notification and a copy of the investigation report from the Commission.
Petitions for review must:
- Be in writing;
- Set forth with sufficient specificity, including supporting evidence and documentation, the grounds for the petition; and
- Be filed with the Executive Director of the Commission, or their designee.
